The knife is rustic and unique, flat surfaced with smooth curved edges, making spreading butter an absolutely joy - great for Caviar/Jam/Peanut butter spreads. Mother of pearl has many natural qualities; it is antibacterial, will not absorb or transfer flavors or smells, and only needs to be hand washed in cold water. Each handmade knife has its own unique characteristics, making each one different.
