The Principle of Correspondence is one of the foundational concepts in Hermetic philosophy as it has significant implications for the relationship between the inner and outer world. Ideally, we create a space that is harmonious and in sync with the universe and ourselves, something that we'd experience as part of our overall well-being. Observe the world around you. Do you see anything that is amiss and would block the natural flow of Life? Is there something you could contribute? Awareness of our inner natural inclination and abilities to for example lend a helping hand or help another gain understanding of something that is easy for us has a loving and harmonizing effect on the world, even if only with one person at a time. Our sincere expression contributes to the energetic needs of the macrocosmos at the social level and thus ripples of benevolence fulfill the whole as much as one's self.

The principle of correspondence is a powerful concept as its dynamics affect every echelon of being, from the universe down to earth down to you and me, down to our homes and how we create our spaces within. By recognizing the interplay between different levels of reality and creating spaces that reflect our inner nature, and emanating our energies appropriately according to the needs of the external world, we can create an optimally harmonious and fulfilled life and world.
