Stillness is a Gateway to Human Potential

These news/letters are written from the heart space, they're not part of a rote, contrived business schedule or AI task list.

Create your Sanctuary, Piece by Piece

Relief from overwhelm, that's what most of us need, daily! The internet proliferates so much data, not all of which is information ~ not illuminating or helpful; it has much potential for connection, but do we?

If you don't want to feel like the world is happening to you, start from within

While meditation is a fluid practice throughout the day, I've found that when taking aside a special time in the morning and in the evening, this practice is most helpful for harmonizing one's inner being with the demands and experiences of the day. Meaningful practices, I've found, need to be integrated into my life flow if I want to benefit long-term.

This is a participatory endeavor.

I left my big corporate job some years back in 2019. It took courage and resolve as I realized that the environment and perpetual 24hr demand just wasn't sustainable. It was not healthy mentally or physically and I brought the aggravation home. Not only did I leave but we moved across the country! Talk about getting out of my comfort zone.

This is not escapism. It is a better way of being: rooted, alive and resilient.

What does this have to do with art, décor and furniture?

We're not here to fill your home with stuff.

There is purpose.

The purpose of Rhônya's art is to help you disengage from constant mental busy-ness and switch gears, wind down. Instead, enjoy shapes, colors and textures and perhaps let imagination roam free for a bit …

.. give your brain a break and let your whole body and soul relax!

Visualize yourself in a better place, visualize what can be, imagine your potential. Develop inner energy to exude outward rather than being distracted and confused by outside noise.

For me, while I do hear and read about meditation, I've found it to be a very intuitive practice. Sit, be still, breathe deeply and smoothly, naturally and just be in the moment. Let your random thoughts play out and exhaust themselves. Forget about time for a moment and when you've reached stillness, you will discover various modalities of consciousness on your own.

Sacred Space

Furniture allows you to have a place to physically rest.

Be comfortable and at ease and have a space where you can have cozy quiet time, recharge, release negative energies from the day and perhaps go as far as you want e.g. transcendental meditation or prayer —though you're probably better served by more listening than talking.

In short, evolving the inner world will in effect make the world a better place in more ways than one!

In my experience, a cozy place to sit —a sacred space— and being still, has helped ground me, tell me about where I've come from, what I've been through, who I am. It also allows me to review moments in my life to understand them more deeply, resolve and release emotions from those moments, illuminate strengths, weaknesses and potential for improvement.

This connection with the Source is what re-energizes from within and is not found in books or seminars but provides self-reliance and powers being a co-creator.

Love,
Detlev & Rhônya
